Begonia Maculata also known as the Polka Dot Begonia or Spotted Begonia, is a striking houseplant admired for its unique foliage and charming appearance. Native to Brazil, this plant is part of the cane begonia family and is appreciated for both its aesthetic appeal and relatively easy care.

Begonia Maculata prefers bright, indirect light. Too much direct sunlight can scorch the leaves, while too little light can cause the plant to become leggy and reduce its vibrant leaf coloration. Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Water thoroughly when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch. Use a well-draining potting mix. A mix designed for African violets or a combination of peat moss, perlite, and potting soil is ideal.
