The zygo cactus, also known as the Christmas cactus or Schlumbergera, is a popular houseplant that produces stunning flowers in a variety of colours.

Zygo cactus thrives in bright, indirect light. It can tolerate some direct morning sunlight, but avoid harsh afternoon sun which can cause leaf burn. While it can tolerate lower light conditions, insufficient light can prevent blooming. Water when the top inch of soil feels dry. Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Reduce watering after the flowering period during its dormant phase.
